Moving to South Africa

Fox are able to cater for all methods of shipping from anywhere in the World through to your new home in South Africa. Whether you plan to send a single item to your friends and relatives or you are moving your whole house contents Fox offers a solution to your relocation needs to this ever more popular destination.

If you are looking at sending a larger shipment we can provide a Full Container service (FCL) enabling you to send everything you may have in your home or business.

For a more cost effective option for shipping smaller amount of belongings we offer a regular groupage service to South Africa which serves all areas. Please contact us for an indication of costs for this service, and an up to date sailing schedule.

For small consignments or for belongings which you need to arrive quickly, our airfreight service may be the best form of transport. We will advise you and quote for the specialist packing required for this service.

Moving to South Africa from the UK?

Our approved destination agents are able to guide you through the customs clearance process in South Africa and they or Fox’s staff can help you with the customs forms which will need to be completed prior to the arrival of your goods.

They will then arrange to deliver the consignment and provide you with a full unpacking service and setting up your new home as per your instruction.

A storage service is available both here in the UK or at destination and we would be happy to discuss this with you if it would be of interest.

Shipping Options

If you’re sending a larger consignment to South Africa, we will provide you with a Full Container Load (FCL) service, which will allow you to transport the entire contents of your home. If you’re looking to send a smaller shipment, then we can provide a more cost-effective option in the form of our regular “Groupage” services, which we operate from the UK to all parts of South Africa.

Although we use all of the main ports, our Groupage services generally enter via Johannesburg, Durban, Cape Town or Port Elizabeth, where our selected agent will arrange delivery to your new home.

Alternatively, if you’re transporting smaller consignments still, or certain belongings need to arrive quickly, then our airfreight service may be just the ticket.

Whichever option you choose, our agent will be able to help you with advice and guidance regarding the customs clearance process in South Africa, and will offer assistance with any paperwork, prior to arranging delivery of the consignment to your new home. Once your consignment has been safely delivered, we will also provide you with a full unpacking service, and place your items in their chosen rooms, as per your instruction.
